Have you ever wondered how the weather will be tomorrow?

As 140 Million Google Search results show, this is one of the most frequently asked questions in the world. It’s fair to say that weather can have a huge impact on all of our lives, both personally and professionally, so this is why, here at Meteomatics, we focus on the processing and provision of high quality weather data as well as the development of meteorological software products.

But why stop there? Better forecasting needs even more accurate inputs so we developed our own Meteodrone to collect the missing data from the lower atmosphere and are the first company to fly a network of weather drones operationally.

Now, let`s talk about you…

Your responsibilities

  • UAV soft- and hardware development
  • Working within a strong team of engineers and scientists 
  • Traveling to customers in the US, Japan, UK for demonstrations and projects
  • Taking responsibility of the timely roll-out of our Meteodrones network

Your qualifications

  • University degree in an engineering subject or comparable scientific qualifications
  • Detailed understanding of UAVs and their system components - hardware and software
  • Flight experience with multicopters
  • Experience with 2D and 3D CAD design
  • Experience with 3D printing would be beneficial
  • Experience in designing and designing electrical circuits would be beneficial
  • Experience with processing of non-ferrous metals, plastics and composite materials would be an advantage
  • Excellent German and English skills
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure to deadlines
  • Sense of responsibility
  • Willingness to pioneer and fundamentally change the way weather forecasting is done
