Two high-pressure systems are acting as so-called Heat Domes that cause abnormally high temperatures across the country 🌡️.. NewYork reaches daily maximum values of 95 °F (35 °C), #Sacramento, CA and Portland, OR around 106 °F (41 °C). It’s also quite remarkable that temperatures in the heat hot-spot Phoenix, AZ climb up to "only" 93 °F (34 °C), whereas maximum temperatures in Fresno, CA reached 108 °F (42 °C). Within the next few days, the heat will also intensify in the northern US and southern Canada – with temperatures also approaching 104 °F (40 °C)!
