Once again the Meteodrones are measuring meteorological parameters within the Planet Boundary Layer (PBL / <2km) to improve high-resolution weather forecasting systems and help them to better predict fog, high fog and thunderstorms. However, this time, in order to promote the further development of the weather drones, we are carrying out high altitude test flights in addition to our normal operational flying schedule. Just a few days ago the Meteodrones rose into the sky from the Jungfraujoch and as well as the Meteomatics development team enjoying the unique views at 3454m they were also able to specify the requirements for the propulsion system for high altitude flights.

With special thanks to MeteoSwiss and High Altitude Research Stations Jungfraujoch & Gornergrat (HFSJG) for their great support.
