From 10th to 12th of October companies and experts met at the Meteorological Technology World Expo. Around 200 exhibiting companies from more than 100 countries presented the latest news in the field of forecast measuring and analysis technologies in Amsterdam. Meteomatics was on site for the first time this year and introduced its innovative meteodrone and automation technology to more precise weather forecasts.
Martin Fengler, Managing Director of Meteomatics, sums up: "The crowds at our stand were overwhelming: on all three days we had a total of almost 190 conversations with 3 to 4 employees each." Visitors included national meteorological services from all directions in Europe and worldwide computing centers from Asia and South America. The main focus lied on the improvements of prediction models using drone measurements. Meteomatics has been demonstrating exactly this aspect for over a year in cooperation with Swiss television SRF. Also worldwide environmental organizations have shown great interest in using pollutants to measure pollutants - significantly cheaper and more flexible than before.
The Meteo drones have also moved into the focus of news agencies. The new type of atmospheric measurement was reported on international television:
Meteomatics is very pleased with the success of this show and already announces that it will be back in Amsterdam next year.
