A short interview about our Meteodrone measuring campaign was broadcasted on Wednesday in Swiss radio, SRF. In the interview Dr Martin Fengler, CEO of Meteomatics, explains how the Meteodrones collected weather data – like temperature, humidity, wind or air pressure – in the boundary layer on a total of 5 locations in Eastern Switzerland.

In the first two weeks of July, the Meteodrones thus completed over 450 sounding flights. The collected data will now be analysed by the Meteomatics. The data serves the improvement of fog and thunder forecasts and are an important step towards the goal of creating the perfect 24-hour forecast.
