Since 2002, the DDS Data Days have been held to bring together users, prospects and suppliers of geospatial data. The versatile program offers lectures as well as the opportunity to exchange experiences and is therefore the ideal platform for anyone who works with geodata or intends to do so. This year, for the first time, Dr. Martin Fengler presented why access to weather data via the API is an optimal solution. Meteomatics also took part in the subsequent discussion about "How do APIs change the geodata world and what impact does that have on the future of the 'geo' industry?” Operating its own high-resolution, unique weather API, Meteomatics is ideally placed to understand the associated challenges, opportunities and risks.
