The IAC (Institute for Atmospheric and Climate Science) concentrates on atmospheric and climatological processes and how changes by human activities affects the climate. The focus is, among other things, on the ability to predict weather developments and to determine climate changes. With the Meteodrones Meteomatics contributes every day to precise weather forecasts. Dr. Martin Fengler, CEO of Meteomatics, was therefore invited to the PhD Symposium of the IAC to present the latest developments of the Meteodrone. The influence of weather drones on high-resolution weather models and the resulting improved forecasts, such as fog and thunderstorms, were also discussed. In addition, the participants were able to gain an impression of the company's development.
