Meteomatics Code of Conduct
Doing the right thing - our commitment to integrity.
Applies to all employees worldwide.
1 CEO Message
At Meteomatics, our success is built on trust — in our data, our technology, and our people.
We believe that how we work is just as important as what we deliver.
This Code of Conduct reflects our commitment to integrity, transparency, and excellence. It guides how we make decisions, how we treat each other, and how we engage with customers, partners, and society.
We operate in complex, global environments — from high-precision weather data to advanced drone operations.
In all of this, one principle remains constant: we do the right thing. This means complying with applicable laws and regulations, holding ourselves accountable for our actions, and taking personal responsibility for upholding our standards every day.
Dr. Martin Fengler
CEO, Meteomatics AG
2 Our Core Principles
Our Code of Conduct is built on the Meteomatics Spirit: how we think, collaborate, take responsibility, and create impact. These principles guide our decisions and behavior, especially when we face pressure, uncertainty, or competing priorities.
Scalable Innovation
We think big, stay curious, and seek solutions that create lasting impact.
Innovation at Meteomatics is not limited to technology or product development. It also includes how we improve our processes, business models, customer solutions, and ways of working. We are encouraged to challenge assumptions, explore better approaches, and do the unexpected — while acting responsibly, ethically, and in compliance with applicable laws and internal standards.
In practice, this means:
- We look for scalable solutions rather than short-term fixes.
- We improve continuously and learn from experience.
- We innovate responsibly, considering quality, security, customer trust, and long-term impact.
Collaborative Energy
We work together openly, respectfully, and across functions.
Strong collaboration is essential to our success. We believe that personal exchange, direct dialogue, and cross-functional teamwork lead to better decisions and stronger outcomes. We communicate clearly, share relevant information, and treat each other with respect, regardless of role, background, or location.
In practice, this means:
- We communicate openly, honestly, and constructively.
- We share knowledge and support each other across teams.
- We create an inclusive environment free from discrimination, harassment, bullying, or disrespectful behavior.
Proactive Ownership
We take responsibility and act with integrity.
We do not wait for problems to solve themselves. We take ownership of our work, our decisions, and their consequences. Acting with integrity means doing what is right, even when no one is watching, and making decisions we can stand behind publicly.
In practice, this means:
- We act honestly, ethically, and in line with applicable laws, regulations and company policies.
- We take responsibility for outcomes and address issues proactively.
- We speak up when something does not seem right and support a culture of accountability.
Passionate Impact
We focus our energy where it truly matters.
Our commitment and dedication make a difference. We aim for excellent results, but we measure success by meaningful impact — not by appearances, hierarchy, or time spent. We use our expertise, resources, and judgment responsibly to create value for customers, colleagues, the company, and society.
In practice, this means:
- We strive for high quality, reliability, and customer trust.
- We focus on meaningful outcomes and sustainable impact.
- We go the extra mile where it matters, while respecting healthy boundaries and long-term performance.
These principles apply to all employees and guide how we work with customers, partners, suppliers, and other stakeholders. They help us make responsible decisions, even in complex situations or when facing trade-offs.

Our drone operations require the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and regulatory compliance. Safety is always the first priority in planning and executing any operation.
This means:

- Ensure you are properly trained, authorized, and fit to carry out drone operations
- Act responsibly and maintain situational awareness in the field at all times
- Stop operations and escalate if conditions, risks, or compliance requirements are not met
Each individual involved in Meteodrone operations is personally accountable for safe and compliant conduct.
10 Conflicts of Interest
We avoid situations where personal interests could conflict, or appear to conflict, with the interests of Meteomatics. Transparency and early disclosure are essential.
This means:
- Disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest as early as possible
- Avoid situations where personal, financial, or other interests could influence business decisions
- Examples of conflicts may include side jobs or external roles, personal relationships at work, or investments that could affect objectivity
- Do not use your position or company information for personal gain
- Seek guidance and escalate concerns to your manager or the appropriate internal contact when unsure
Conflicts of interest are not always avoidable, but they must be disclosed and managed openly and responsibly.
11 Public Communication & Representation
We communicate responsibly and protect the reputation of Meteomatics in all public interactions, including online and on social media. We remain politically neutral as a company and communicate in a way that maintains trust with customers, partners, regulators, and the public.

Employees are expected to confirm that they have read and understood this Code of Conduct and to act in accordance with it at all times.
