Sonja Meindl Joins Meteomatics as Chief Revenue Officer

Meteomatics has appointed Sonja Meindl as Chief Revenue Officer. She joined the company in July 2026 and is based at its headquarters in St. Gallen, Switzerland.

Sonja brings more than 20 years of enterprise leadership across the technology and cybersecurity sectors. She joins from Microsoft, where she served as Senior Sales Director and Executive Board Member, with responsibility for some of the company’s largest enterprise customers in Switzerland and for advancing AI and cloud strategy across regulated and global industries.

Previously, she held senior leadership roles at Tanium, Check Point Software and McAfee. Across these positions, she ledmulti-country organisations, expanded into new markets and advised boards, regulators and C-suite leaders on cybersecurity, AI and digital transformation.

As Chief Revenue Officer, Sonja leads Meteomatics' global revenue organisation, overseeing sales and go-to-market strategy across the company's weather intelligence portfolio, from the Weather API and its high-resolution EURO1k and US1k models to the MetX visualisation platform. 

With weather increasingly influencing critical decisions across energy and other weather-sensitive industries, Sonja will focus on deepening strategic customer relationships, scaling the company’s enterprise sales organisation and extending Meteomatics’ reach into new markets.
