Earthquakes

Earthquake warnings are available in MetX. These warnings can be visualised directly on the map, enabling clear tracking of global seismic activity. To add Earthquakes to your workspace, click “Add Layer” and select “Earthquakes” as a mode.

Key features include:

1. Dynamic marker sizing based on earthquake magnitude

2. Coloring and time interval settings for user customization

3. Clustering of nearby events for clear visualization

Add thresholds to focus only on earthquakes that are operationally or safety-relevant. Click “Add Thresholds” in the layer stack to configure them.

After configuring thresholds, the map will highlight earthquakes that match the selected parameters, as illustrated in the example below.
